Together Microsoft and Special Olympics will change the world combining what they do best, technology and sports. Through a global, cross-functional partnership, Microsoft and Special Olympics will create more effective systems that will ultimately enhance the lives of people with intellectual disabilities who are involved in Special Olympics.
Microsoft is known for reinventing productivity and will put that into play for Special Olympics around the world. By building capacity, internal network and overall reach, Microsoft and Special Olympics will be positioned to unify the world - helping build a better tomorrow – all through the power of technology.
In alignment with Microsoft’s commitment to create long-lasting impact in the communities they serve, this joint venture will work to influence behavior change through targeted interventions improving Special Olympics’ internal sports, health and research systems.
Moreover, Special Olympics will look to Microsoft as a thought leader and change agent by tapping into its expansive network creating a roundtable of advocates to further the Movement. By engaging employees and consumers in communities across the globe we will seek out and develop champions to promote our shared goal of celebrating diversity.
Through the generous support of Microsoft and its employees, in-kind technology support, financial, and volunteer contributions will be made at all levels of the Special Olympics Movement – from the International Headquarters in Washington, D.C. USA to every local Program around the world.
